Anti Racist Teaching and Learning Collective
Member of the Second Cohort of educators dedicated to building our shared capacity to transform K-12 public education in Connecticut. Golden West College Peace Studies Liaison Coordinator - Partnership Coordinator, Class Advisor, Local Liaison Secured cross country partnership with Golden West College for Pathways Academy students. Students will be able to graduate with Peace Studies Certificate upon successful completion of three online courses from Golden West College. On ground coordinator for the Huntington Beach college's Peace Studies professor for high school students at Pathways Academy of Technology & Design. When classes are in session: facilitating weekly classes, reviewing student's progress, and time management. Diversity Day Conference Coordinator – Community Liaison, Logistics & Scheduling Plan & organize half-day conference for 400 Pathways Academy students. Connect & Network with community members who can broaden the horizons of the students. ROOTS Conference Coordinator – Logistics & Scheduling Plan and organize full day conference for 250+ Hartford middle & high school students. Connect and Network with community members and local nonprofit agencies whose goal is to help Hartford grow. EF Global Ambassador Coordinator - Service Learning Plan and organize meaningful, sustainable, and unforgettable global service learning project for high school students and community members to the Dominican Republic. Students will explore the area's rich biodiversity while learning how reforestation and ecotourism efforts have significantly helped replenish the land. Educators 4 Excellence Hartford Advocacy Team The E4E- Connecticut Hartford Advocacy Team works in conjunction with the Superintendent of Hartford Public Schools to empower teachers across Hartford to advocate for improved support for unique student populations. Hartford Policy Team The E4E-Connecticut Hartford Teacher Policy Team on Unique Student Populations developed research-based recommendations to improve academic outcomes for unique student populations in Hartford Public Schools.
